PriceSmart Inc. (NASDAQ: PSMT) has announced the location of its 55th regional club and ninth in Costa Rica: the Club Cartago. This new establishment is part of the company’s ongoing expansion efforts in the Central American nation.
The new club will be located in the Aguacaliente district, and will feature a spacious design, including a 4-meter-high ceiling in the checkout area to ensure a comfortable shopping experience.
The Club Cartago will occupy a 25,965 square meter plot and will offer 225 parking spaces for visitors. Additionally, it will include a wellness area with audiology, pharmacy, and optical services, enhancing the overall shopping experience for its members.
Rodrigo Calvo, Executive Vice President of Real Estate, commented on the new opening: “This space will not only expand our presence in Costa Rica but also offer a top-tier infrastructure and significant capacity to accommodate our members in a comfortable and modern environment.”
The official opening is projected for the latter half of fiscal year 2025 and will feature a series of special activities for the Cartago community.
