Arajet, the Dominican Republic’s international airline, celebrated its third anniversary of operations on September 15, 2025. The airline reported transporting over 2.4 million passengers since its launch in 2022, positioning itself as one of the fastest-growing airlines in the region.
The company’s CEO and founder, Víctor Pacheco Méndez, stated that Arajet is on track to carry over 1.5 million passengers by the close of 2025, with more than 200,000 of those being connecting passengers. The airline has expanded its network to more than 20 destinations across 16 countries. In 2024, Arajet reported transporting more than 400,000 visitors from Colombia to the Dominican Republic, accounting for 36.2% of all passengers on that route.

Arajet highlighted its fleet and route expansion as key components of its growth strategy. The company recently added its 12th aircraft, named “La Caleta,” to its fleet and announced the delivery of a 13th aircraft before the end of the year. The airline’s fleet consists of Boeing (NYSE: BA) 737 MAX aircraft. The company projects its fleet will grow to 19 airplanes by the end of 2026.
New routes scheduled for 2025 include flights to Orlando, Chicago, and Boston in the United States, as well as to Córdoba, Argentina. Arajet’s operations are based out of two international airports in the Dominican Republic (DR):
- Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo.
- Punta Cana International Airport in Punta Cana.
Manuel Luna, Arajet’s chief communications and external affairs officer, noted that the airline’s growth has contributed to the development of tourism and air connectivity in the region.
