For the past three decades, the Harris Poll has conducted its annual EquiTrend Study (EQ) to assess the strongest brands across dozens of brands, from media and tourism to dining and consumer goods.
The categories devoted to the banking and financial services sectors have grown in recent years as technology has created new areas for consumers to assess.
In this year’s study, more than 77,000 Americans were polled in an extensive survey. Each participant rated 40 brands and in all more than 3,000 well-known companies operating in the country were weighed in a variety of different areas.
“An independent evaluation of our brand validates what we’ve known for years: Quality products and exceptional customer service have created a brand that Americans trust to catch life’s curveballs,” said Marshall Doney, president and CEO of AAA Insurance, which was the highest-rated company in the multi-line insurance category.
The following companies walked away with the highest scores in their respective categories, making them the “Brands of the Year” in payments and financial services.
