Panama will actively participate in the ANATO 2025 Tourism Showcase, which will take place from February 26 to 28 in Corferias, to consolidate its position as a preferred destination for Colombian travelers. The Minister of Tourism of Panama, Gloria De León Zubieta, will lead the Panamanian delegation with the aim of strengthening commercial ties and promoting the diversity of experiences that the country offers.
With a projection of receiving 2.2 million visitors in 2025, Panama’s presence in ANATO 2025 represents a key opportunity to strengthen the flow of Colombian tourists and foster strategic alliances within the sector.
“Our participation in the ANATO 2025 Tourism Showcase is an invaluable opportunity to show the world the richness and diversity that Panama offers as a tourist destination. From our paradisiacal beaches and lush jungles to our vibrant culture and exquisite cuisine, Panama is a country that has it all. We invite all attendees to visit us at booth 2620, where they will be able to experience first-hand the magic that our country offers,” said Minister Gloria De León Zubieta.
A comprehensive strategy to strengthen tourism
Panama will stand out at ANATO 2025 with a diverse tourism offer that ranges from leisure and nature tourism to business and shopping tourism, highlighting its cultural richness, vibrant biodiversity, and modern infrastructure. Its first-class air connectivity, authentic experiences, and the perfect combination of tradition and innovation make Panama an ideal destination for travelers from all over the world.
In this edition, the country will present its most recent advances in ecotourism, its growing attractiveness as a hub for events and conventions, as well as its varied gastronomic and commercial offers. Air connectivity with Colombia, through direct flights from Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Pereira, Bucaramanga, Cúcuta, San Andrés, and Santa Marta facilitates access to Panama and allows Colombian travelers to enjoy its diversity of experiences.
Within the framework of the fair, the Minister of Tourism will present a new strategy to promote the arrival of Colombian tourists. Currently, the movement of passengers at the Tocumen International Airport is about 18 million people; however, only 2.5 million enter the country, of which 278,974 come from Colombia.
