The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals largest annual event, the Outsourcing World Summit (OWS) just concluded in Orlando, taking place from February 17-20 in the Marriott World Center. OWS each year brings together COPs (Certified Outsourcing Professionals) from around the world, along with BPO and shared services firms, consultants, analysts, and investment promotion agencies, such as the Trinidad & Tobago International Financial Centre.
One thing that sets the OWS apart from other events targeting the same sector is the large number of corporate “buy-side” attendees—actual utilizers, executives and decision makers tasked with selecting and managing outsourcing services, rather than an event overwhelmed with vendors and account executives pitching to one another.
“The Trinidad & Tobago IFC must continue to attend events such as OWS 19 to ensure the maximum exposure of Trinidad and Tobago’s value proposition to the international market and increase our visibility, leading to better brand recognition,” says Sylvannas Berkeley, Vice President of BPO and Shared Services Development for the Trinidad & Tobago International Financial Centre. “T&T must be top of mind when clients are considering their next nearshore location in the Caribbean and Latin America.”
The Trinidad & Tobago International Financial Centre offers incentives and assistance to companies seeking to expand operations to the Caribbean, enjoying native English, ease of business, and an aggressive benefit offering.
The Outsourcing World Summit, with just short of 1,000 attendees, offers a venue where outsourcing and shared services practitioners can share best practices, renew relationships with colleagues, learn about new methods and technologies, and obtain continuing education credits to maintain or upgrade their COP (Certified Outsourcing Professional) designation.
Next year’s event, OWS2.0 takes place February 17-19 at the Renaissance Orlando. More information can be found here.
