The Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism presented its latest luxury destinations during an exclusive event at the Vizcaya Museum in Miami. The gala attracted investors from North America, Europe, and Latin America, highlighting the country’s ambitions in the Caribbean’s high-end tourism market.
Tourism Minister David Collado led the event, which brought together senior executives from airlines, luxury hotel chains, and investment funds. In his address, Collado emphasized the Dominican Republic’s economic growth and appeal as an investment destination. “The Dominican Republic is experiencing robust economic growth, making this the ideal moment for investors to explore the opportunities within our dynamic tourism industry,” he said.
The presentation featured new branding and conceptual developments for several luxury destinations, including Miches, Samaná, and the Amber Coast.
Alejandro Reynal, Global CEO of Four Seasons, highlighted the strategic importance of investing in the Dominican Republic. “The country possesses all the attributes necessary to establish itself as a premier luxury destination and a key location for a brand like Four Seasons,” Reynal stated.
Event Sponsorship and Participation
The gala was sponsored by Banco Popular, Banco BHD, Banreservas, and Grupo Puntacana. It concluded with a performance by Dominican artist Juan Luis Guerra, featuring traditional merengue music.
Attendees included over 45 CEOs and 40 presidents and decision-makers from prominent companies such as Marriott International, American Airlines, AMANERA, Expedia, Google Travel, JetBlue, Grupo PuntaCana, Virtuoso, Rosewood Hotels, Grupo Piñero, InterContinental Hotels Group, Blue Diamond Resorts, The St. Regis Cap Cana, Casa de Campo, and others.

This initiative is part of the Dominican Republic’s broader strategy to position itself as a top-tier luxury destination in the Caribbean. The country aims to strengthen its competitive standing in the global tourism market by targeting affluent travelers and attracting high-value investments.
