Arajet, the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean airline, was awarded by CH-Aviation as the airline with the youngest aircraft in North America and the fifth in the world for its modern and comfortable Boeing 737 Max 8 fleet, where their commitment stands out among airlines with innovation and environmental management.
The certification organized by CH-Aviation points out that, through this initiative, they seek to highlight the commitment of airlines that prioritize the safety and comfort of their passengers, with the modernization of their fleets playing an important role in the reduction of CO2 emissions related to aviation and improving fuel efficiency.
The publication brings up that sustainability presents a challenge in the aviation sector and emphasizes that these airlines significantly reduce CO2 emissions by contributing notably to the care and preservation of the environment.
Víctor Pacheco, CEO, and founder of Arajet expressed his gratitude for this award and said that appearing for the second consecutive year in this ranking reaffirms the commitment of the airline to continuing to strengthen its fleet of Boeing Max 8 aircraft with its engines ultra-silent CFM LEAP-1B that consumes 14% less fuel and reduces 40% noise pollution.
For this certification, CH-Aviation considered more than 110,000 aircraft, more than 13,500 operating airlines, and 2,900 aircraft owners. Likewise, they focused on commercial and active business aircraft operators that manage a minimum of five aircraft. In addition, a unified list of Air Operator Certificates was used for groups of airlines with multiple AOCs. They explained that this recognition is completely based on data from non-manipulable aircraft, for that no jury or any other subjective parameter is involved.
