Alorica has reconfirmed that there will be payment of full salaries for all team members who have tested positive for COVID-19 for the duration of their sick leave.
The company also acknowledged the work by the Ministry of Health and Wellness in its management of the cases at our Portmore facility. “We wish to inform the public that we remain committed to full and transparent cooperation with the Government of Jamaica and reiterate, as confirmed by the Health Ministry, that we were fully compliant with COVID-19 health guidelines.”, Alorica pointed out.
We are aware of interest about the support being provided to Alorica team members in light of the current situation. In this regard, Alorica would like to note that our strength lies in our people, and as such our top priority remains safeguarding the health, safety and wellbeing of our team members, their families and the Jamaican community. Notably, too, a range of economic and social support initiatives for our valued team members are in progress.
Additionally, since the closure of our Portmore campus, we have sought to further protect team members through, inter alia, the voluntary closure of our Kingston-based facility. Additional precautionary measures have included the establishment of a work-at-home model to get our valued team members back to work safely as quickly as possible. To this end, we currently have hundreds of employees engaged in our work-at-home platform.
